Jesse Prinz: Calibrating Moral Sentiment
Jesse Prinz is an experimental philosopher - somebody who holds that empirical psychological research can provide insights that help to solve philosophical problems. For example, he argues that psychological research suggests that moral claims are expressions of emotions. When a person says that rape is wrong, for example, one is expressing an emotional attitude of disapprobation towards rape. In saying this, it is important to note that he does think that moral claims can be true or false.
